According to the pathologists, Slobodan Milosevic's cause of death was a mild myocardial infarction. Further, the pathologists identified two heart conditions that Slobodan Milosevic suffered from, which they said would explain the mild myocardial infarction. The prosecution service of the Hague informed the registrar that a toxicological examination will still be carried out. The tribunal has been informed that the final report will be issued as soon as possible. Wide of people leaving the Netherlands Forensic Institute in a diplomatic car\u003cbr/\u003ePreliminary autopsy results show Slobodan Milosevic died of a heart attack, the U.N. war crimes tribunal said on Sunday.\u003cbr/\u003eIn a statement, the court said Milosevic's remains will be released to his family on Monday.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The Tribunal has received a brief summary of the autopsy results,\" it said. \"According to the pathologists, Slobodan Milosevic's cause of death was a 'myocardial infarction\"' - a heart attack.\u003cbr/\u003eTribunal spokeswoman Alexandra Milenov said the autopsy revealed Milosevic had been suffering from two heart conditions. \u003cbr/\u003eShe did not name the conditions, but said the doctors determined they might have caused the heart attack.\u003cbr/\u003eAsked if poisoning could have caused the heart attack, Milenov said it was too early to draw conclusions.\u003cbr/\u003eRumours of death by poisoning gathered pace on Sunday when claims emerged that traces of a drug used to treat leprosy and tuberculosis had been found in a recent blood sample taken in order to establish why Milosevic's medication for high blood pressure was not working.\u003cbr/\u003eMilosevic, 64, was found dead on Saturday morning in his prison cell near The Hague.\u003cbr/\u003eThere were no outward signs of suicide or unnatural causes of death according to the tribunal and it was known that Milosevic had suffered for years from heart trouble and high blood pressure.\u003cbr/\u003eBut tribunal president Fausto Pocar said he ordered the autopsy and a toxicological examination after a Dutch coroner failed on Saturday to  establish the cause of death.\u003cbr/\u003eMilenov said Pocar's enquiry was still ongoing: \"I think we should also wait for that until we come to any final conclusions.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe final report from the inquiry was expected to be released in a matter of days, she added.\u003cbr/\u003eIn a further twist, Milosevic's legal adviser Zdenko Tomanovic produced a letter on Sunday that had been written by Milosevic one day before he died, alleging that he was being poisoned.\u003cbr/\u003eTomanovic said the letter written by Milosevic had been addressed to the Russian Embassy for forwarding to the Russian foreign minister.\u003cbr/\u003eMilosevic had appealed to the war crimes tribunal last December to be allowed to go to a heart clinic in Moscow for treatment. His wife and son also currently live in Russia. The request was denied.\u003cbr/\u003eWhile on trial, the former Serb leader underwent frequent medical examinations by doctors and specialists appointed by the tribunal in the Hague. \u003cbr/\u003eSerb doctors were brought in at his own request and detailed reports were routinely submitted to the judges.\u003cbr/\u003eSerbia sent a pathologist to observe the autopsy which was
