He is an orphan who hopes to be a scientist one day. \u003cbr/\u003e\"I have experienced many challenges at school and with my guardian at home,\" Ogolla said, \"He could not even at some times pay for me feeding programmes, in school that are needed.\"\u003cbr/\u003e\"The food that I eat in school is the one that I go home and sometimes sleep with,\" he said.\u003cbr/\u003eUNESCO stated in its report that 250 million children around the world are not learning the basics, and 175 million cannot read a sentence, translating into a loss of an estimated 129 billion US dollars. \u003cbr/\u003eThe loss is not only the consequence of money being spent where children are not learning, according to UNESCO, but also because a strong education system can be a boon to an economy.\u003cbr/\u003eThe report shows that ensuring an equal, quality education for all can generate huge economic rewards, increasing a country's gross domestic product per capita by 23 per cent over 40 years. \u003cbr/\u003e1. Most of our children come to school empty stomach, meaning some of them do not get something for supper, neither (nor) do they get something for breakfast.
