receiving interim approval from a judge in the impoverished southern African nation.\u003cbr/\u003eAssistant High Court Register Thomson Ligowe said Judge\u003cbr/\u003eAndrew Nyirenda had granted an interim order allowing the Madonna and her film director husband Guy Ritchie to take David. \u003cbr/\u003eHe added that there would be a subsequent application. \u003cbr/\u003e\"If there is (a) fight, (the Court) can actually grant or can refuse,\" he said.\u003cbr/\u003eThe father, Yohame Banda, said he was happy for his son and pleased with the celebrity couple who wants to be his parents.\u003cbr/\u003eMadonna has made no comment to reporters since her arrival in this impoverished country earlier this month, though she has made several public appearances in support of projects to care for AIDS orphans. \u003cbr/\u003eA director of child welfare services in the Ministry of Gender, Child Welfare and Community Services, had said earlier that Madonna and Ritchie filed adoption papers before a judge at the Lilongwe High Court.\u003cbr/\u003eShe added that the couple followed the normal process and the adoption was close to the completion point. \u003cbr/\u003eMedia were prevented by the court from seeing the adoption papers as the court classified them as confidential.\u003cbr/\u003eMalawi law does not allow for inter-country adoptions, and generally requires people who want to adopt to spend 18 months being evaluated by Malawian child welfare workers. \u003cbr/\u003eMalawian officials had indicated earlier such restrictions would be waived for Madonna and Ritchie, but refused to elaborate on Thursday.\u003cbr/\u003eBanda, the father, said on Thursday he met Madonna and Ritchie at the court as part of the formalities. \u003cbr/\u003eMadonna arrived in Malawi on October 4 on a mission to helps AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) orphans and amid rumours that she was to adopt a child.    \u003cbr/\u003eMadonna's charity Raising Malawi is setting up an orphan care centre to provide food, education and shelter for up to four thousand children. \u003cbr/\u003eMalawi is among the poorest countries in the world, with rampant disease and hunger, aggravated by periodic droughts and crop failure. \u003cbr/\u003eSome 14 percent of its 12 million (m) people are infected with HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus), the virus that causes AIDS,
