November 1st remembers children who have died, and November 2nd is for deceased adults. \u003cbr/\u003eThe marigolds are thought to guide the dead back to loved ones and are placed around photographs of the deceased placed near gravesides or at home altars.   \u003cbr/\u003e\"I make my offering so that my dead will come to taste what I put out for them and so they'll be happy and come to my house for Day of the Dead,\" said Adriana Corral after buying flowers at a local market in Mexico City. \u003cbr/\u003eOn Friday, rights activists in the northern Mexican border city of Tijuana took advantage of the date to hang 5,100 small white crosses on the fence straddling the US frontier to commemorate migrants who have died trying to cross.\u003cbr/\u003eThe crosses represent the number of migrants estimated to have died in the 15 years since the United States toughened border security.\u003cbr/\u003e\"For us it's a way of showing and preserving our culture as Mexicans, especially here on the border where not a lot of people celebrate and commemorate this special day,\" said Uriel Gonzalez, coordinator for the YMCA's youth migrant shelters. \u003cbr/\u003eThe Coalition for the
