the fifth 'Women Together' Awards Ceremony at the United Nations in New York on Wednesday. \u003cbr/\u003eThe awards are presented to individuals who have worked to promote human rights and equality in various spheres.\u003cbr/\u003e'Women Together', a non-governmental organisation run in consultation with the UN's Economic and Social Council, aims to highlight the UN's Millennium Development Goals. \u003cbr/\u003eKanoo, who is the founder of the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF), received the award for work over the past 15 years promoting art and music throughout the Gulf, specifically amongst children. \u003cbr/\u003eADMAF is a leading player on the United Arab Emirates cultural scene and works to spread various forms of the arts across the region, with a strong emphasis on education. \u003cbr/\u003e\"ADMAF is today a movement spreading to every corner of the country, incubating the most innovative, cultural and educational initiatives,\" Kanoo told the
