It's after a media effect and wants to  be a part of officially organised exhibits. Generally, there is a propaganda goal or a very  concrete meaning. But unofficial artists, especially younger ones, under 30, particularly  want to express their concerns about society and their criticisms of society's problems  through their works. Particularly their own feelings towards the changes going on in  Chinese society. This is something that official artists don't do. If you can't  talk about reality, what else can you talk about?\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Ying Jun, Painter\u003cbr/\u003eMost of the artists in this more recent exhibition were born in the 1970's.\u003cbr/\u003eUsing real animals and human parts, their works reflect an increasing sense of violence.\u003cbr/\u003eArtist Xiao Yu uses dead pigeons plunged in formaldehyde to create his objects.\u003cbr/\u003eLooking closely at the objects in artist Zhang Hanzi's jars, the viewer cannot always tell  what is real and what isn't.\u003cbr/\u003eBut Sun Yuan's installation, \"Honey\", leaves no room for doubt.\u003cbr/\u003eAn embryo lies on a dead man's face immersed in a bed of ice.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (Mandarin)\u003cbr/\u003e\"They have chosen this goal. Because when you decide to copy something, you are  penetrating an idea. This choice is subjective. It's not a blind choice. It's probably linked  to our current living environment, to our society. People feel panicked and unstable.
