Craddock, head of Miami-based US Southern Command, made the comments during a visit to the high-altitude region of Sumapaz where he toured a Colombian army base and inaugurated a partially US-funded elementary school.\u003cbr/\u003eHe sought to ease anger among many lawmakers and ordinary Colombians over Washington's refusal to lift the suspects' diplomatic immunity, insisting they will be made to face justice.\u003cbr/\u003eCraddock mingled with smiling school children, patted soldiers on the back and whispered words of encouragement to local forces battling a 40-year-old leftist insurgency fuelled by drug trafficking, during a trip clearly aimed at repairing the US military's battered image here.\u003cbr/\u003eWarrant Officer Allan N. Tanquary and Sergeant Jesus Hernandez were arrested last week at a luxury gated estate where authorities discovered more than 40-thousand rounds of ammunition allegedly destined for a right-wing
