Medina Mora and Mukasey stand up and shake hands\u003cbr/\u003eU.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey said on Wednesday that a Spanish version of an electronic database will help Mexican authorities trace US firearms found in Mexico. \u003cbr/\u003eMexico has long complained that those in the drug trade and other areas of organised crime rely on stolen U.S. weapons to outgun Mexican security forces.\u003cbr/\u003e\"We will be using on an increasing basis what is called e-trace methodology to allow the tracing of weapons that are found in Mexico, so that we can figure out precisely where in the United States that they're coming from and squeeze them off at the source,\" Mukasey said, during a one-day visit to Mexico City. \u003cbr/\u003eHe didn't say when the database would be available.\u003cbr/\u003eSpeaking at a news conference with his Mexican counterpart, Eduardo Medina Mora, Mukasey said that the database will eventually help both countries diminish the illegal firearm trade between the U.S. and Mexico.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The United States is committed to addressing the flow of illegal guns into Mexico. little over a year ago, President Felipe Calderon has asked the U.S. government to do more to battle the illegal arms trade.\u003cbr/\u003eBush and Calderon have tried to increase cooperation in the fight against drugs, as Calderon wages a nationwide battle against gangs responsible for a wave of killings across the country. \u003cbr/\u003eBush has proposed sending a 1.4 (b) billion US dollar aid
