after the prime minister expressed concern over rising anti-NATO sentiment in Macedonia.\u003cbr/\u003eThe small country, borders Yugoslavia, where NATO attacked Wednesday night to try to force President Slobodan Milosevic to make peace with ethnic Albanian separatists in Kosovo province.\u003cbr/\u003eMacedonians are preparing for the worst  - waiting  in long queues to buy fuel and other provisions.\u003cbr/\u003eThey fear they could come under fire - the target of possible Serb retaliatory attacks launched from neighbouring Kosovo, in the wake of the NATO bombings.\u003cbr/\u003eMore than 10-thousand alliance troops are stationed in Macedonia.\u003cbr/\u003eThey're prepared to move into Kosovo as a peacekeeping force IF Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic bows to pressure and signs a peace accord.\u003cbr/\u003eFor now though, their role has changed - they're securing the border with Yugoslavia.\u003cbr/\u003eOn the other side, Serb police are also on high alert.\u003cbr/\u003eThey've been reinforcing their positions and stopping all passing traffic to check papers.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Macedonians are getting increasingly nervous.\u003cbr/\u003eOn top of that, they're now expecting a new wave of refugees.\u003cbr/\u003eAnd officials from the small country fear they'll be unable to cope with a large influx.\u003cbr/\u003eMacedonia's Prime Minister is warning that his country is on the edge of a humanitarian disaster. \u003cbr/\u003eHis government is also facing  rising tensions within the country.\u003cbr/\u003eAn angry group of Serbs, sympathetic
