Miss Jones meanwhile says she's happy she's having her day in court seven years after the alleged offence.\u003cbr/\u003ePaula Jones' claim to fame is that she was propositioned by a President.\u003cbr/\u003eIt's an accusation U-S President Bill Clinton vigorously denies, but it's a claim that won't go away.\u003cbr/\u003eAnd on Friday it arrived on the doorstep of the White House when a nervous Miss Jones arrived in Washington for the next chapter of her long-running case.\u003cbr/\u003eShe's alleging that in 1991,  Mr Clinton, the then Governor of Arkansas, propositioned her in a hotel room in Little Rock.\u003cbr/\u003eMr Clinton is denying the claim and earlier this week told a reporter that the case would not be settled out of court.\u003cbr/\u003eMiss Jones is now almost as famous as the man she accuses of pressuring her for sex.\u003cbr/\u003eShe had no comment on her arrival in the capital after a flight from her home near Los Angeles, but her spokeswoman said Jones was very proud to be an Amercian citizen.\u003cbr/\u003eMr Clinton was also communicating through an intermediary, two days before sitting down before a camera in his lawyers office and providing a video-taped deposition. \u003cbr/\u003eAt a press briefing at the White House on Friday ahead of the deposition, spokesman Mike McCurry conceded the case had had some impact on Clinton's schedule.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English)\u003cbr/\u003e\"It has some impact and it is a distraction but it is not a burdensome distraction.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Mike McCurry, Clinton's Spokesman\u003cbr/\u003eAt the time the briefing took place Clinton had not yet met his lawyers but he had planned a meeting with them before the deposition.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English)\u003cbr/\u003e\"He hasn't yet but he will spend some time with them today before he goes off.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Mike McCurry, Clinton's Spokesman\u003cbr/\u003eMcCurry told the press that the President was not looking forward to the testimony, but it had to be done.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English)\u003cbr/\u003e\"I think he is just going to go and do it.
