The latest book features over 3000 records, including one held by Daniella D'ville - for the most concrete...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eA host of world record breakers gathered Tuesday (17 SEPT. 2013) in London to help launch the Guinness World Records 2014 edition. \u003cbr/\u003eThe latest book features over 3000 records, including one held by Daniella D'ville - for the most concrete blocks smashed on someone's stomach in one minute whistle laying on a bed of nails. \u003cbr/\u003e\"I've been performing the bed of nails professionally for about five years, I started working with a circus after I came out of dance school and I just got spellbound by the more dangerous stunts, the classic side show stunts,\" explained Deville. \"So I started training them and a year later started performing a few of them, built up a tolerance and started doing the more extreme stunts after a few years.\" \u003cbr/\u003eAlso attending was American record holder The Duchess - who has the longest nails title. \u003cbr/\u003eThe Duchess, whose real name is Chris Walton, has been growing her nails for 24 years.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I think it's maybe 11 feet on this hand all together, and then ten and some change on this one,\" she says.\u003cbr/\u003eShe says she still manages to do the normal things in life.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Well see it's very easy, my hands still move, I can still write because I have function of my hand, so I don't have to hold them in one position or anything. Because I normally talk with my  hand so.\"\u003cbr/\u003eShe can even still wash her hair, she says.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I got to stay pretty that's easy, the nails would have to go if I couldn't be pretty,\" laughs The Duchess.\u003cbr/\u003eAll records must be verified by Marco Frigatti, Head of Records at Guinness World Records, and his team, who are based all around the world.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Well we receive about 1000 applications, every week from any part of the world and sometimes we have to say, yes we accept you as an existing record, and sometimes we h ave to say sorry but you don't meet our criteria. And sometimes there are some very strange requests,\" explains  Frigatti.  \"I remember a lady from Florida, not very long ago, who told us that she was the first lady to speak to the dolphins, she could understand how the dolphins were talking and she had conversations with them and she wanted to be recognized as the first woman to actually talk with dolphins because she knew of a man who had already done that so she was actually claiming the female category for the record.
