They also say more than 20 million vehicles in the U.S. are equipped with the faulty air bags.\u003cbr/\u003e\"It's in a total state of uproar right now,\" said Clarence Ditlow, executive director of the Center for Auto Safety. \"The government is saying replace all the passenger side airbags now in the geographic states. We don't know what the geographic states are.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe National Highway Traffic Safety Administration warned people whose cars have been recalled during the past two years for faulty air bag inflators to take them to dealers right away. \u003cbr/\u003eThe inflators are made by Takata Corp., a Tokyo-based supplier of seat belts, air bags, steering wheels and other auto parts. \u003cbr/\u003e\"2014 is already a record year for recalls,\" said Ditlow. It's one of the most lethal. We know of four deaths already - those four deaths unfortunately are in states that are not covered by the recalls that are being announced today. They're in Virginia, Oklahoma, California - and so, when you look at that, you wonder is this going far enough? And that's the biggest question of the Center for Auto Safety.
