And following military logic, there would've never been 83 guerrillas in one area. There were small units scattered around.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Martha Balladares, former Guerrilla Commander\u003cbr/\u003eOn June 19, 1985, ten men broke into a cafe in San Salvador and shot four U-S Marines and two U-S civilians. \u003cbr/\u003eAllegations that the Rangers took revenge on 83 guerrillas came from a former member of the troop and other officials from a U-S anti-terrorist operation.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Seattle newspaper reported that their sources claimed they were flown to a remote area where they were given instructions by three unidentified men to kill 75 to 85 people.\u003cbr/\u003eBut the Salvadoran military says American troops have never held military operations in the Central American country.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (In Spanish)\u003cbr/\u003e\"I'm amazed about those publications, because... ah, I dismiss them.
