The work shows Hopper's strong realist impulse in this poignant scene of a moment on a train car.\u003cbr/\u003eChristie's will sell four sculptures by Alexander Calder, including \"Femme Couchee,\" which looks to the simplicity of line and reduction of form as a way to achieve a new-age classicism.\u003cbr/\u003eMaurizio Cattelan's depiction of two New York City police officers on their heads had people craning their heads to get a better look. The work \"Frank and Jamie\" is from Cattelan's trilogy Hitler, the Pope, and New York's Finest.\u003cbr/\u003eAt the Sotheby's auction house the contemporary sale is also headlined by a Warhol - one of his celebrity portraits of Liz Taylor.  \u003cbr/\u003eAs with his images of Marilyn Monroe, Warhol's depiction of Elizabeth Taylor displays not so much his ambition to record a physical likeness but more his love affair with the drama and glamour of celebrity.\u003cbr/\u003eAnother Sotheby's highlight is Roy Lichtenstein's \"Blue Nude,\" one of his celebrated comic book images from the 1960s.\u003cbr/\u003eOne of Chuck Close's monumental photorealist paintings, \"John,\" will also go under the hammer at Sotheby's. It depicts fellow painter John Roy.\u003cbr/\u003eSotheby's will also feature a work by Marlene Dumas, who the auction house calls \"perhaps the most important female painter working today.\"  Dumas'
