The book \"Fergie: Her Secret Life\" was launched earlier this week at the Frankfurt Book...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eEnglish/Nat\u003cbr/\u003eThe Duchess of York withdrew an injunction on Thursday against the publication of a  controversial book that delves into her private life. \u003cbr/\u003eThe book \"Fergie: Her Secret Life\" was launched earlier this week at the Frankfurt Book  Fair. \u003cbr/\u003eThe publishers claim the book, written by one of Fergie's former closest friends, is  dynamite.\u003cbr/\u003eHer climb down now means she won't have to face a court appearance that could have  proven highly embarrassing. \u003cbr/\u003eThe controversial book was launched at the world's largest book fair in Frankfurt on  Wednesday.  \u003cbr/\u003eIt's called \"Fergie: Her Secret Life\" and is written by her former close friend Dr Allan  Starkie. \u003cbr/\u003eThe book is seen as potentially damaging, and until today Thursday the Duchess of  York had planned to take its writer and publisher to court, in an attempt to prevent the  book from being published.\u003cbr/\u003eThe book had been halted in the United Kingdom by an injunction, which prevents  publication of information gained during Dr. Starkie's involvement in the Duchess' affairs.\u003cbr/\u003eBut the about-turn by the Duchess is welcome news to the book's publisher Michael  O'Mara.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English)\u003cbr/\u003e\"Well, we're very pleased to announce the Duchess of York has decided to discontinue  her legal action against my company and Dr. Starkie and we'd' be able to publish our  book \"Fergie: Her Secret Life\" as scheduled on 4th of November and needless to say  we're absolutely thrilled. The Duchess' advisors contacted us yesterday and asked us if  we could confirm that the main script contained no material damaging to other  members of the Royal Family and we were very happy to confirm that the manuscript  did not contain such material. And given that, they decided to walk away from the  action. She's a woman chameleon, she can turn herself into anything you  want her to be. If she was here instead of me, right now, she'd be charming all of you  instead of boring you like I am. But what she does, she can't sustain that so she'll offer  you anything you want to hear and turn herself into anything you want (her) to be. But  she doesn't have the energy or desire or time to sustain that so ultimately you'll be  disappointed. Ultimately, any project she undertakes will end up either dying or in  disaster.
