With brokers barking furiously as they conducted business, the dollar climbed against foreign currencies like the Japanese yen, but Asian stock markets jumped, too.\u003cbr/\u003eIn Tokyo the Nikkei average gained 1.3 percent. In Seoul the KOSPI climbed 1.8 percent, and in Hong Kong the Hang Seng closed up 1 percent. European markets also opened about 1 percent higher, although they tailed off somewhat in morning trading.\u003cbr/\u003eOverall, Martin Hennecke of the Tyche group had a note of warning...\u003cbr/\u003eThe Chinese hold a lot of U.S. Treasury bonds -- not so much an investment, Hennecke says, as finance for their best customer. And analysts still expect credit rating agencies to cut America''s triple-A debt rating -- while globally the stock rally will likely be tempered by concern about slowing U.S. economic
