Afghan homes, issuing his strongest statement yet against strikes that the military alliance says are key to its war on Taliban insurgents.\u003cbr/\u003eThe president's remarks follow a recent strike that mistakenly killed a group of children and women in southern Helmand province. \u003cbr/\u003eHe said it would be the last.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The Afghan people can no longer tolerate these attacks on their homes,\" Karzai told reporters at the presidential palace in Kabul.\u003cbr/\u003e\"If you do not come to an understanding with us based on a negotiated solution,\" Karzai told NATO, \"the Afghan government will be forced to take a unilateral action in this regard.\" \u003cbr/\u003eNATO officials have apologised for the strike on two houses in Nawzad district, which killed 14 including
