They had a long string of hits in the 1980s, but 1970s work like 'She's Gone' and 'Sara Smile' has proven more durable.\u003cbr/\u003eBesides 'Killing Me Softly', Fox wrote some of the best-known TV themes - for 'Happy Days', 'Laverne \u0026amp; Shirley' and 'Love Boat'.\u003cbr/\u003eThe National Academy of Popular Music/Songwriters Hall of Fame was founded in 1969 by songwriter Johnny Mercer and publishers Abe Olman and Howie Richmond. The NAPM/SHOF celebrates songwriters and raises awareness of their achievements, and is also devoted to the development of new songwriting talent through workshops, showcases and
