I can't balance my checkbook. I don't do math. I'm not a good driver. I overbook myself. I can be very cranky in the morning. Yeah, I mean - list anything that has nothing to do with singing or acting, I'm not good at it. That's why I'm in the field that I am. But what I am is - I always want to learn and grow and so, you know, I can laugh at myself that I'm no good at math or that I'm a speed demon on the road, I mean these aren't good things but um, yeah, there's plenty I'm not good at. I've had interesting relationships with men. I've had some great ones and then some of them I've sucked at. They were really into Madonna as was I. I was in...the reason I was into Madonna and Belinda Carlisle is for the theatrics of who they were. I'm pretty sure I was the only person that tried out for my school musical. Nobody in my family is a musician. They're all chemical engineers and really smart. Those kinds of people. But, somehow I never felt I'm sure I was bullied...I know I was but not for being a geek, not for loving music. I got teased a lot for being little, short. I get teased a lot and it's funny because people are like, 'Oh, look at her life. We don't want to hear what your problems were.' I got teased a lot for speaking with such an interesting, unique, high-pitched speaking voice. I don't really know of a person who wasn't teased for something, but you know music wasn't one of them. I think our town was like thirsty for somebody to want to do it and I'm really proud to say that I am a native Broken Arrow, Oklahoma girl and now they've built a state-of-the-art performing arts center in that town - huge actually - and I'm going on tour and I've decided to close out my concert there at that facility which will have my namesake and for me that means a lot, because when I grew up there music and arts weren't that important. Now it's shifted a little. Enough for them to make this building - so I'm really excited about it.\"\u003cbr/\u003e3. I love writers, I love creative people and I believe there was an interview not long ago, or maybe it's going to air, with a New York Times writer that said we are approaching the age of creativity where people with creative minds are going to be running the show. I like that because there is no limit when a person is open and it's almost to me a sin to shut down the channel because God gives each of us a gift and to shut down the channel to what you are given isn't right. So, you know I enjoy artists. That's what I am. I'm an artist and artists enjoy other artists. Sally Field, obviously Barbra Streisand, Barbara Cook, Julie Andrews is one of my favorite, favorite, favorites, Sandy Patty - a Christian singer, Amy Grant, Dolly Parton.
