The old external tank would come to about here in the stack of the space shuttle, to give you an estimate of size. This is the smaller version of this rocket. This is in the range of 70 to 77 ton. The old external tank would have come to about here, you can think of the entire stack of the space shuttle being about this high. You see the relative size of the rockets.  On either side are depicted 5 second solid rocket boosters but ultimately NASA will run a competition for these boosters to be solids or liquids.  There will be 5 space shuttle main engines in the tail of this core and on top of the core then there''s a second stage and improved j2x that''s already under development and then the crew module on
