On Monday, the autumn and winter 2012 display drew a huge crowd of buyers and spectators, including a host of international stars such as Hollywood actress Kate Bosworth, Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am, celebrity photographer Mario Testino, and even Korean pop group Girls' Generation.\u003cbr/\u003eBailey, who has been credited with revitalizing the once-fusty fashion house and boosting its international style credentials, is also known to create a spectacle using weather elements: Last year, he filled his catwalk with fake snow.\u003cbr/\u003eIt wasn't just the rain that was British - much of the detailing on the clothes was, too. There was velvet quilting, corduroy, herringbone wool and tweed caps, riding jackets and skirts, and of course various incarnations of the brand's most famous garment, the trench coat.\u003cbr/\u003eBailey said the collection was a study in merging city style and country living. Bridle leather straps, shearling parkas and the use of quilting were evocative of the horse-riding country lifestyle of the English upper class, while the appearance of cute owl drawings and appliques on some of the collection's T-shirts and sweaters, as well as gold metal fox belt buckles, were a fun and quirky take on the \"country\" theme.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The inspiration was really this merging of these different worlds, you know there's this kind of physical and digital world that are kind of clashing and merging together, but I also love the idea of mixing this kind of town and feel, this country world with this town world,\" he said.\u003cbr/\u003eHe then compared the cloths to music: \"You get kind of pop and rock music blended with real classic craftmanship and I love those, and I love the bit in the middle when they melt.\"\u003cbr/\u003eOne one musician was even a huge fan of the new line.\u003cbr/\u003e\"It was art on bodies and just the way the garments flowed off the body, when they walked out moved with them they weren't stiff, the materials are great, the d�cor with the zippers and the buttons, everything was just all great. Everything was just fabulous,\" will.i.am said after the show. \"And the selection of music was great.\"\u003cbr/\u003eA huge range of coats and jackets made up much of the collection. Some were cinched in with candy-colored belts with bows, while others had masculine tailored shoulders and large pouches.
