General Pervez Musharraf, by quitting parliament unless he yielded in stalled power-sharing talks.\u003cbr/\u003eShe accused Musharraf of stalling the talks by refusing to create a \"level playing field\" for free and fair parliamentary elections.\u003cbr/\u003eBhutto said Musharraf's intransigence had pushed her Pakistan People's Party to the brink of joining other opposition groups in pulling talks with Bhutto - a claim that her party has yet to confirm. \u003cbr/\u003eIt also indicated it was ready to drop old corruption cases against her, clearing her way to come home eight years after she left to avoid arrest on suspicions registered by another exiled former leader, Nawaz Sharif.\u003cbr/\u003eThe government has given few details about the proposed amnesty other than that it would also apply to other politicians and would cover cases up to 1999 in which people had not been convicted. \u003cbr/\u003eBhutto, however, said the immunity plan seemed to be aimed at helping Musharraf's own supporters.\u003cbr/\u003eBhutto, who intends to return to Pakistan on 18 October,  is demanding a constitutional amendment that would allow her to seek the prime minister's job again.
