of students from Leuven University took up the challenge of holding the largest ever pillow fight. \u003cbr/\u003eThey gathered in one of the city's main squares for the chance to take part.\u003cbr/\u003eThe event was organised by students from the Leuven University economics faculty as part of a campaign to elect a new president for the Student Union.\u003cbr/\u003eDespite the early rain, more than eight thousand people stood in line to get a free t-shirt and pillow donated by a local bed company.\u003cbr/\u003eSome came ready for action with war-time hard harts for protection but all came with the intention of having a good time.\u003cbr/\u003eWhen four thousand pillows had been handed out, the fight commenced.\u003cbr/\u003eFor five minutes the square was turned into one big dormitory filled with pillows flying through the air.  \u003cbr/\u003eThey broke the record by more than a thousand pillow fighters and helped raise 10-thousand euros (US 12,867.51
