So when Barry White's orchestra came in to town they were looking for someone that could read their charts and yet still be able to improvise in that R and B style. There wasn't anyone that could do it, I was the only guy that had all those chops, so my high school band teacher recommended me for the gig and I got the gig and that's how I got it.\"\u003cbr/\u003e7. So the whole thing is just a beautiful piece of work and I am very proud of it.\"\u003cbr/\u003e'Paradise' sees former accounting student Kenneth Gorlick team up with crooner Brian McKnight on the track 'All The Way', and R 'n' B singer Chante Moore on 'One More Time'. But it is his sax that is, as always, the real star of the album. It also seems to be the love of his life.\u003cbr/\u003e\"My relationship with my saxophone is, I don't know how to describe it in words, it's the one thing that has always been there. He's played with the likes of Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Natalie Cole and is described in his press release as the \"premiere saxophonist of his generation\". And who does the world have to thank for unleashing such a magnificent talent on the world? 'Falling In the Moonlight' is \"simply almost classical\", while on 'Midnight magic' Kenny struts his soulful stuff and gives us a \"so-funky jam with a decidedly old school feel'. 'Spanish Nights' apparently conjures up \"visions of enchanted candle-lit evenings\" while 'Seaside Jam' Kenny offers a \"perky slice of R'n'B flavoured smooth jazz\".\u003cbr/\u003eKenny explains how he weaves such magic with his horn.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Everything is free and easy, that's my whole style, \" he imparts. \"I don't get excited about a lot of things, in a bad way. He also owns and pilots his own sea-plane.\u003cbr/\u003eSo does Kenny G deserve to the bad press he gets from serious jazz artists and listeners? One critic, reviewing his 1992 best-seller 'Breathless' thought not, because Kenny never claimed to a hard-bop improvising artist. No, said the critic, those charges are unfair. \u003cbr/\u003e\"'Breathless' isn't bad because it's a pop album or because it's commercial,\" said Alex Henderson of the Allmusic Guide, \"It's bad
