Wide of woman crossing road\u003cbr/\u003eA court hearing has resumed in Texas on Thursday, where a judge will be deciding what happens to hundreds of children who were seized from a polygamist compound.\u003cbr/\u003eShortly after the hearing began on Thursday morning, the Judge called a recess, to let the 350 lawyers read the evidence and decide whether to object as a group or individually. \u003cbr/\u003eThe hearing resumed about an hour later.\u003cbr/\u003eThe lawyers are representing the 416 children and dozens of parents from a renegade Mormon sect accused of forcing underage girls into polygamous marriages.\u003cbr/\u003eThe children were taken from the Yearning For Zion ranch in West Texas owned by the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  \u003cbr/\u003eSusan Hayes, Attorney of two-year-old girl explained that \"under Texas law if sex abuse is happening in the home, and a parent does not protect that child, then the child can be removed from that parent as well as the abuser.\" \u003cbr/\u003eDozens of the mothers gathered at the courtroom and at a satellite courtroom nearby. \u003cbr/\u003eThose who are in the courtroom itself have been sworn in as witnesses.\u003cbr/\u003eOn Wednesday, members of the sect gave tours and said that life was relatively normal on their West Texas ranch to tell their side of the story.\u003cbr/\u003eThey said that while life may be different on the ranch, it was their choice to live there.\u003cbr/\u003eOne woman who didn't want to give her name, says she was forced from the ranch when authorities didn't believe she was 23.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I showed my ID and they just didn't believe it,\" she told AP Television.\u003cbr/\u003eAnother woman insisted she was free to leave the premises as she pleased. \u003cbr/\u003eOne father of two boys who were removed said the allegations were baseless and that the charges go against what they believe.\u003cbr/\u003eA judge must decide whether the removal was justified.  Each child has their own court appointed lawyer.  \u003cbr/\u003eThe court had been in recess after some of the 350 lawyers present demanded to look at the evidence.
