Amir's father Shlomo Amir had to fight his way out through the media scrum.\u003cbr/\u003eThe lawyer representing Amir's brother Hagai on conspiracy charges was asked whether Yigal planned to kill Rabin. \u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English)\u003cbr/\u003eQ: Did Yigal Amir plead guilty to killing the Prime Minister?\u003cbr/\u003e\"No, no he said he is not guilty. He's innocent about the intention of killing the Prime Minister but he confessed that he admits that he intended to hurt the Prime Minister. Thank you.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Moshe Maroz, Lawyer for Yigal Amir's Brother \u003cbr/\u003eAmir's lawyer asked the judge to delay the trial in order to give him more time to prepare a defence - but his request was denied.\u003cbr/\u003eAmir a third year law student, originally said he killed Rabin to stop the land-for-peace agreements with the Palestinians.  He now claims he only meant to cripple the late Israeli premier.\u003cbr/\u003eAmir's lawyer still believes he will give a solid defence despite the lack of time at his disposal.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English)\u003cbr/\u003e\"We hope to have a good trial if the court will allow me to prepare for trial then I hope we will have the opportunity to have a fair trial because right now the trial is being rushed and the attorneys are not having enough time to prepare for the trial.\u003cbr/\u003eQ: Was there rumours that you were going to resign?\u003cbr/\u003e\"Well those are just rumours from you maybe but we will have to see as things proceed and how the trial goes after we get all the material, after the prosecution give us everything. Then and only then can we continue.  At this time I am very surprised that the Supreme Court and also this court has not allowed us to prepare for trial to represent the defendant as well as we possibly can. And I hope to see that the court will give us time and not have a trial day after day and then we will all be in much better shape and I know that it is very important for the whole world - the whole world looks at this trial and it's very important for the whole world and I hope that this court allows us to have it in such a way that the whole world will see Israel as an example to the whole world of how justice should be done.
