You want a franchise, a reason for people to tune in but there're plenty of crime shows on the air,\" says Ridley who created the show and directed the pilot.  That's all we were giving people, yeah, I would wonder why anybody would watch, but what we hope to have is a deeper discussion and invite a wider audience and views things from perspective and a lens that often times in television quite frankly, whether it's on broadcast and even on cable, it's still not quite there yet.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe drama stars Felicity Huffman and Timothy Hutton. Hoffman says their son on the show who is killed. \u003cbr/\u003eHutton explains how race comes into play. \u003cbr/\u003e\"It's a racially charged murder. So people's assumptions about who did it, why they did it, come up instantly but as the show goes on you start to see that the person that you thought is the obvious - you kind of wonder why you made that assumption. That's what this show does. It really challenges sort of that type of thinking.\"\u003cbr/\u003eJuliette Lewis joins the new series \"Secrets and Lies.\"  Lewis says the series also starts with a crime. \u003cbr/\u003e\"'Secrets and Lies' - I almost wanted to sing a theme song but I don't have one but yes I'm on a show called 'Secrets and Lies.' It'll probably be out in the spring. It co-stars Ryan Phillippe. He's a suspect number one initially. I play the detective and it's a really new role for me because I'm really super straight-laced, poker-faced but very strong and good at my job.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThen there's \"Selfie\" which stars Karen Gillan as a woman with lots of online followers but no real friends.   \u003cbr/\u003e\"'Selfie' is the story of a girl called Eliza who is very narcissistic and self-obsessed and has lots of accounts in social media,\" says Gillan.  \"She hires a man called Henry (John Cho) to re-brand her as a more likable person in real life.\"\u003cbr/\u003eCho says it's an apt story for today's world.  \"I think people spend so much time on their phones and it's a substitute for real connection and I think that's where the show starts. You know lots of people and you're exposing yourself but are you really connecting to people and having a genuine relationship?\"\u003cbr/\u003e\"The Whispers\" is a sci-fi drama executive produced by Steven Spielberg.  \u003cbr/\u003eOne of its stars is Milo Ventimiglia (\"Heroes\").  \"Basically, it's based on a Ray Bradbury short story about an alien race that is coming down to earth for world domination,\" says Ventimiglia. \"They're basically using our greatest weakness against us which is our love for our children because the young mind is impressionable and an alien race can cause influence over a child or so then they can an adult and they use that against us.\"\u003cbr/\u003eAnd Ioan Gruffudd and Judd Hirsch co-star in \"Forever,\" a police drama with a twist.  \u003cbr/\u003eGruffudd plays a cop who is immortal.  \"He's used his time wisely. He's decided to learn everything that there is to learn about everything. Over the centuries he's a learned many languages, he's learned about history, he's learned about science and I think he uses all his knowledge in a very Sherlockian way.\"\u003cbr/\u003eHirsch says he plays Gruffudd's best friend. \"We are linked and we cannot unlink ourselves.
