Other places have really hard times like all year round. So the class started writing diaries in the English class and we continued also at home, when we felt upset, when we felt happy, everything, we started writing it in our diaries and after that, she collected most of the diaries since 2000-2004 and she put them in this book. Performance - 'Our Diaries Through the Wall'\u003cbr/\u003eThe war-torn streets of Bethlehem, on the Palestinian West Bank, are a world away from the fun-filled festival of arts currently filling the historic avenues of Edinburgh, in Scotland.\u003cbr/\u003eBut a bridge between to the two cities has been built by a sell-out show currently performing at the world renown Fringe Festival.\u003cbr/\u003e'Our Diaries Through The Wall' is a vivid dramatisation of life for a troupe of teenage Palestinian girls from the Bethlehem on the West Bank, in the Occupied Territories, written and presented by the girls themselves.\u003cbr/\u003eThe girls, aged between 15 and 17 years old, are all pupils at the Terrra Santa School for Girls in Bethlehem.\u003cbr/\u003e'Our Diaries Through The Wall' began life as an English project, with them recording their thoughts and feelings of growing up to the sound of gunfire in the Occupied Territories.\u003cbr/\u003eTheir stories have already been published in a book and now turned into the Edinburgh show.\u003cbr/\u003eAs the Israeli settlers are evicted from Gaza, and one phase of the the occupation draws to a close, the girls portray their own experiences of Israeli rule through song and dance, revealing how anger and fear can be channelled in positive directions.\u003cbr/\u003eOne of the company, Walaa Ghabboun, aged 16, explains:\u003cbr/\u003e\"I'm optimistic and I have dreams in my life, as any girl, normal dreams. I want to achieve them. I want to study. I want to live in peace.
