So when, you know, when you're in difficulty, when you're praying, when you want to ask the help of a divine friend, so I called my guardian angel, John Paul.\u003cbr/\u003eQ: And now, he will really be your angel? \u003cbr/\u003e\"Yes, I believe he (the Pope) will also be our intercessor, not only for me, but for a great many people as well.\"\u003cbr/\u003e10.  Various shots of Coronel talking to staff\u003cbr/\u003eMonsignor Hernando Coronel, Secretary General of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines is now busy helping in arrangements for a group of Filipino Cardinals and Bishops who will travel to Rome to attend the funeral of Pope John Paul II.\u003cbr/\u003eWhile Coronel would like to be part of the group travelling to pay last respects to the late pontiff, the 45-year-old monsignor will stay in the Philippines to overlook vigils and other church activities in the run-up to the funeral of the man he says was instrumental in his decision to enter the priesthood.\u003cbr/\u003eIt was in 1981, during Pope John Paul II's first visit to the Philippines, that Coronel made the decision to enter the seminary.  \u003cbr/\u003eHe had finished a university degree and was gearing toward a career in the corporate world when he saw the pope addressing a huge crowd at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Manila.  Coronel said he felt God's calling then.  \u003cbr/\u003eWhile he was just one out of hundreds of thousands gathered before the pope, Coronel said he felt that the pope was talking to him personally.\u003cbr/\u003eCoronel does not regret making that decision, and is thankful to the late Holy Father for showing him the way.\u003cbr/\u003eDuring the Pope's second visit to the Philippines in 1995, Coronel had the chance to meet him personally this time and as a priest.\u003cbr/\u003eWith the death of Pope John Paul II, Coronel said he still feels that the late pontiff will continue to guide him, but now as an angel from heaven.  \u003cbr/\u003eEven before the Pope passed away, the monsignor had paid tribute to the pontiff by naming his guardian angel as John Paul. He says he counts on his angel during trying times.\u003cbr/\u003eAs a priest, Coronel said he is able to serve the faithful and the needy. \u003cbr/\u003eIt is his hope that somehow he will be able
