So he's doing okay.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Jon Kenneth Colombini, Father of Jonathan Colombini\u003cbr/\u003eThe mother of the boy, Arletis Blanco Perez, left Cuba with her family for the United States when she was a little girl.\u003cbr/\u003eShe returned to the island this month with her new companion - a Cuban-born man she met in south Florida.\u003cbr/\u003eThey also took their 18-month-old daughter and her five-year-old son from her marriage with Colombini.\u003cbr/\u003eBlanco admits she did not consult with the child's father about bringing him to Cuba, but predicts her son will have a \"brilliant\" future.\u003cbr/\u003eNow living at her boyfriend's parent's home in Blanca Arena, 44 miles west of Havana, Blanco admits her children did not have a bad life in Florida.\u003cbr/\u003eThe U-S has officially declared Blanco had no right to take her child from Florida.\u003cbr/\u003eBut Cuba and the US have not signed extradition treaties and this will complicate the way the case is handled.\u003cbr/\u003eWhile the case is in limbo, Blanco has no intention of returning her son to the U-S, and denies that that this case carries as many parallels as the dispute over the custody of Elian Gonzalez.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (Spanish)\u003cbr/\u003e\"No, he will not be turned into an Elian for the simple reason that I am his mother and I am not dead.
