famous shopping district is now lit up with thousands of lights and the stores' windows are lavishly decorated.\u003cbr/\u003eParis is famous for its glamorous department stores. \u003cbr/\u003eEach year in mid November the city's celebrated stores including Galeries Lafayette, Printemps and Le Bon Marche put on an extra sparkle for Christmas. \u003cbr/\u003eBehind each beautiful window display there has been a lot of hard work.\u003cbr/\u003eThe department stores design teams work all year on the annual display. \u003cbr/\u003eThe Printemps store has eleven artists in their Christmas window design team. \u003cbr/\u003eThis year Franck Banchet, the artistic director of Printemps says they wanted to move away from the traditional Christmas themes.\u003cbr/\u003eThey have created a display that he describes as a mixture of Arab influenced designs and items and Lewis Carroll's \"Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.\"\u003cbr/\u003eAs Banchet shares the secrets of his work, he says that the department stores' window displays are an important part of the Parisian Christmas experience. \u003cbr/\u003eBanchet describes the detail of the 'Treasure' window explaining that many kilogrammes of
