The questions that will be addressed are whether environmentalists should be allowed to criticise and protest against military nuclear waste or not, and if the Russian Federal Security Police, which is in the building behind us, should be allowed to pursue environmentalists and stop their work.\" \u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION. Tomas Nielsen, Bellona environmental group\u003cbr/\u003eNikitin's legal team say they are fighting in the dark. \u003cbr/\u003eThey claim the case against him has been brought about under secret laws, unknown even to the judge presiding over the case. \u003cbr/\u003eLawyer Yury Schmidt, representing Nikitin, claims the former officer is a victim of the ex-KGB's need to find spies, even when they don't exist.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE:(Russian) \u003cbr/\u003e\"If the investigation had satisfied the defence petition from the very beginning, if it had tried to find the truth, but not to find non-existent evidence to prove Nikitin's guilt, the case would have died a death a long time ago without reaching court.
