Wide shot curtain closing\u003cbr/\u003emusic of Jeux is by Claude Debussy\u003cbr/\u003espeaking about her character in the first piece she dances that night in Til Eulenspiegel with music by Richard Strauss, and\u003cbr/\u003eher costume that is 9 meters in length:\u003cbr/\u003eA turn-of-the-century dancer has been remembered at the Roman Opera House in Rome this week (Thursday), with a special tribute from modern choreographers and leading dancers including Britain's ADAM COOPER.\u003cbr/\u003eVASLAV NIJINSKY was a famous dancer one hundred years ago, yet relatively few of his chorographical works are well known.\u003cbr/\u003eYet, what he created inspired icons of modern dance, including choreographer George Balanchine.\u003cbr/\u003eNajinsky is considered so influential to today's dance world that London-based choreographers Kenneth Archer and Millicent Hodson decided to re-create his work, originally seen on stage in 1913, down to the last detail.\u003cbr/\u003eHe exploded onto the dance scene at a time when all arts were changing, becoming 'modern'.  Costume designer Shitzu Omachi beleives that the period at the turn of the century was vital, as all artists  were in fact collaborating on theatre works.\u003cbr/\u003eLikewise, Stravinsky, who was a contemporary and collaborator of Najinsky's called him a radical, saying it would take time before the world would be accustomed to their new artistic language.\u003cbr/\u003eHodson and Archer agree with this, saying that the work of re-creating such a piece, in dance, music, stageing and costumes is equally the work of a \"scholar\", and an \"artist.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe Rome performance was star studded, with performances from Italy's famous ballerina CARLA FRACCI,  described by some critics as an \"exquisite evocation of pure Romantic style\" and DEBORAH BULL, from the London Royal Ballet. \u003cbr/\u003eThe two play a sort of interchangable woman, dressed identically and passed back and forth between the same man: a human love \"game\" that begins and ends with a tennis ball bouncing over the stage.\u003cbr/\u003eThe man in question is Adam Cooper, who recently appeared as the grown up Billy Elliot in the hit British movie, the story of a working class child who wants to dance.  Cooper is seen gearing up for a performance of 'Swan Lake' in the film's final scenes. He also played the role of the swan in real life, in a gripping version of the ballet where the flock was made up of male dancers.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Rome performance also offered the colourful dance 'Til Eulenspiengel', with the music of Richard Strauss.  It is a fantasy, starring Carla Fracci. \u003cbr/\u003eShe explains her role was not so much to \"dance\" , but rather to \"create effect and authority\".  She wears a dress with a 9 metre train, and  callously sends little Til, (performed by Riccardo di Cosma) dressed in a green nympyh-like costume to his
