The live social video network was unveiled Tuesday (5 June) at a special launch event in New York City, where Jimmy Fallon introduced Parker and Fanning in front of an audience of press and other notables.\u003cbr/\u003e\"We started talking about the big idea a couple years ago and then we started refining into a real concrete product over the last year and a half,\" said Parker.\u003cbr/\u003e\"There was kind of a moment when Sean had been thinking about some stuff related to video sharing and another product, and we had been thinking also about kind of what might be done between two people online with what was happening with flash and being able to do live peer-to-peer video,\" Fanning. \"All of these things coalesce around the same time, and that really made it possible for this to be something that can be done on a bigger scale.\"\u003cbr/\u003eAt the event, Helms used Airtime with singer Alicia Keys and Munn talked with Snoop Dogg.\u003cbr/\u003eMcHale said he's excited to use the program with his family.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I'll use it is my four and seven year old will be able to talk to their grandparents all at once and that will be really cool,\" he said.\u003cbr/\u003eParker and Fanning have been involved with companies of the digital age like Facebook, Causes, Spotify and Path, and now, Airtime.
