Bush on Thursday said the United States wanted Iraqis to take more responsibility for governing their troubled country.\u003cbr/\u003eIn an early morning question and answer session in the Oval Office, Bush said he was sending Ambassador Paul Bremer, the top US administrator in Baghdad, back to the country to work with Iraqis on developing a plan to speed up establishment of an Iraqi government.\u003cbr/\u003eHe said Bremer, in two days of urgent talks at the White House, had told him the Iraqis want to be more involved, and called that a \"positive development.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe president did not discuss governing options for Iraq although aides have talked about establishing an interim government before a new constitution is written, a significant change from the current strategy.\u003cbr/\u003eBush also expressed resolve to curb the violence which has killed 396 US soldiers, saying the US is \"going to prevail.\"\u003cbr/\u003eWith shrinking support for the Iraqi mission from the American public, a troubling intelligence report and a stony silence from nations that have been asked for more peacekeeping troops, Bush wants to shorten the US occupation.\u003cbr/\u003eThat involves accelerating efforts by Iraqis to take charge of security, write a constitution, hold elections and assume control over government institutions.\u003cbr/\u003eBush also commented on his upcoming trip to Britain on Thursday, saying he welcomes the massive protests expected in London.\u003cbr/\u003eHe said was happy to be going to a country in which people are allowed to express themselves, and he said he doesn't expect everyone will agree with him on all issues.\u003cbr/\u003eDemonstrations against the Iraq war drew hundreds of thousands of people to central London earlier this year, and the Stop the War coalition says it hopes 60,000 people will join an anti-Bush march through the city on November
