Wide shot of hearing\u003cbr/\u003eThe top US envoy at stalled North Korean disarmament talks said on Thursday that America wanted to meet with South Korea, Japan, Russia and China next week to find a way to persuade Pyongyang to return to negotiations.\u003cbr/\u003eUS Assistant Secretary of State, Chris Hill said the United States would have no problem with one-on-one contact with Pyongyang on the sidelines of six-party negotiations.\u003cbr/\u003eBut, he said, the Bush administration was not prepared to \"torpedo\" multinational talks in order to meet separately with the North.\u003cbr/\u003eHill said Pyongyang needed to implement an agreement in which the North pledged to abandon its nuclear programme in exchange for security guarantees and aid. \u003cbr/\u003e\"The problem is that they don't want to come to the process and make the fundamental decision to implement the September Accords.
