despite an avalanche of recalls and warnings of Chinese exports in the United States and other countries.\u003cbr/\u003eComplaints over Chinese products include drug-laced seafood, toothpaste made with a toxic chemical and children's toys made using lead paint.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Director General of China's Import and Export Food Safety Bureau, Li Yuanping, said \"99 percent of Chinese exported food products are qualified.\"\u003cbr/\u003e\"This means that generally Chinese food is safe,\" he added.\u003cbr/\u003eLi added that of the remaining one-percent of products which do not qualify, many were sold to other countries through \"illegal channels\".\u003cbr/\u003e\"We are paying close attention to the one-percent which has this or that kind of problems and we attach great importance frozen eel and juice made with unsafe colour additives have also been on the growing list of unacceptable products.\u003cbr/\u003eThe US Food and Drug Administration has also stopped all imports of
