There are four different categories of people who could make claims.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Ed Fagen, Lawyer\u003cbr/\u003eHe outlined the criteria needed for applicants to make their claim.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English) \u003cbr/\u003e\"One (requirement) was anybody who had assets on deposit with the banks which were stolen, confiscated or not returned, two, anyone who had assets which were looted by the Nazis and transferred to these banks, meaning the two Austrian banks, Credit Achtalt and Lender Bank which has now been bought out by Bank Austria, three, sent monies to concentration camp inmates through these banks that were diverted and never reached the recipient, and four, were slave labourers and these banks profited from the slave labour. Those are the four categories and anyone who believes they have a claim has to take that little notice, fill it out, send it in, so that they can then make a more formal claim.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Ed Fagen, Lawyer\u003cbr/\u003eLawyers representing Holocaust survivors said Tuesday that the wartime documents made available as part of the deal serving as a paper trail leading to German banks.  \u003cbr/\u003eFagen said that two of Germany's biggest banks - Deutsche Bank and Dresdner Bank which are also currently being sued by Holocaust survivors, have refused to release their World War Two era documents. \u003cbr/\u003eAnd he said Austrian Banks were being controlled by these two German banks.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English) \u003cbr/\u003e\"One element of why we only settled for 40 (m) million dollars is that the Austrian banks have shown us documents from the 1960s where when the Austrian government owned these banks, they paid some Jewish organisations, who then waived the claims, that's one, two; the Austrian banks were not controlling their destiny, they were being controlled by Deutsche Bank and Dresdner Bank.
