as chairman of News International in February and resigned from his post as chairman of British Sky Broadcasting Group PLC (BSKYB) earlier this month.\u003cbr/\u003eThe moves were seen by many as efforts to distance himself from the scandal.\u003cbr/\u003eHe was being questioned at the inquiry on Tuesday by Robert Jay QC, who initially asked him why he had stepped down from the role at
