as calling life in the White House \"hell,\" a claim that was denied by the US first lady's spokesman and by the French embassy to the US.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Carla et les ambitieux,\" or \"Carla and the Ambitious,\" published Thursday, alleges Obama made the comments during a March 31 dinner at the White House with Bruni-Sarkozy and her husband, French President Nicolas Sarkozy. \u003cbr/\u003eIt doesn't make clear how such remarks might have been obtained.\u003cbr/\u003eThe book, written by two French journalists, alleges that the two women were comparing notes about their experiences.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Don't even mention it, it's hell,\" the book quotes Obama as saying. \"I can't stand it.\"\u003cbr/\u003eMrs. Obama's spokeswoman, Katie McCormick Lelyveld denied that
