broaden her own nationalist appeal with having Muzadi by her side.\u003cbr/\u003eMeanwhile Muzadi, who been criticised for taking the offer, sees himself as moral guardian of Megawati's with a clear support from a well-known Muslim organisation and his reputation as a reform-minded veteran politician.\u003cbr/\u003eMuslim activist Dien Syamsuddin, who has openly supported Rais' candidacy, said Muslim communities hope for a leader who can advance their cause. \u003cbr/\u003eBut the struggle for Muslim votes in this election have shrouded a silent revolution among Indonesia's Muslim voters, according to political analyst Salim Said.\u003cbr/\u003eWhile the idea for an Islamic state was once popular and bitterly fought in the country's political history, Said believed Indonesian Muslims today have largely abandoned it for practical reasons.\u003cbr/\u003eParties with exclusive Islamic platforms got fewer votes in total in this year's parliamentary election compared to results of the last election five years ago, and the trend is expected to continue in the future.\u003cbr/\u003eSaid argued Indonesian Muslims today want to see universal values in Islam such as compassion, honesty, and social justice implemented in modern Indonesia.\u003cbr/\u003eThe election is almost there. \u003cbr/\u003eIndonesian Muslims will look out for a leader who can solve the
