Zulu warriors dance\u003cbr/\u003eThe crowds were out well before dawn on Tuesday as New Orleans' post-Katrina Mardi Gras prepared to get underway.\u003cbr/\u003eThe city's annual pre-Lent celebration of Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, is one of New Orleans major tourism events.\u003cbr/\u003ePeople were setting up tents along the route from the earliest hours, including some old-time revellers like Robert Cray, \"We just come out here, we've been out here for the last twenty something years, you know, same spot same hotel\", he said.\u003cbr/\u003eOthers fired up barbeques for an early breakfast, before the celebrations started.\u003cbr/\u003eAlthough the number of celebrants was smaller than in past years, many local residents appeared to be joining out-of-towners in restaurants and shops in the French Quarter, said Mark Wilson, president of the French Quarter Business Association.\u003cbr/\u003eThe French Quarter was relatively unscathed by the deadly storm's floods.  It is six month's since the worst storm in U.S history swept through the historic southern city famous for its jazz music and laid back atmosphere.\u003cbr/\u003eMayor Ray Nagin, who dressed up in National Guard uniform, said he was happy with the turnout, particularly the number of children who had come along.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club, the 97-year-old predominantly black club, staged its annual parade on Tuesday with actual Zulu warriors from South Africa, a first for the group.\u003cbr/\u003eWhile many were keen to get out support the festivities, to some of
