And he'll be spending it in a holding cell in the death chamber at the federal penitentiary in Terre Haute, Indiana.\u003cbr/\u003eMcVeigh is to be executed by chemical injection at eight a-m Eastern Daylight time (1300 GMT) on Monday. \u003cbr/\u003eThe 33-year-old Oklahoma City bomber will be the first person to be put to death by the federal government since 1963.\u003cbr/\u003eIn a letter to The Buffalo News, McVeigh says he's sorry for the 168 people who were killed in the blast. But he insists the bombing was necessary to send a message to what he says is an out-of-control government.\u003cbr/\u003eOne of the people McVeigh asked to visit him in prison is friend Bob Papovich (PAH'-pho-vich). Papovich knew him in Michigan and has corresponded with him by mail and over the phone since he's been in prison. \u003cbr/\u003ePapovich says McVeigh is ready for his execution. In his words, \"Tim has no fear whatsoever.\"\u003cbr/\u003eMcVeigh's former lawyer, Stephen Jones, believes the Oklahoma City bomber hasn't been honest about who or how many people planned, financed and carried out the deadly blast.\u003cbr/\u003eAnd he fears that when McVeigh dies, the truth will die along with him, leaving exactly the message that McVeigh wanted to convey - that one man, acting alone, can cause such tragedy.\u003cbr/\u003eIn a recently published book, McVeigh claimed sole responsibility for the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, which killed 168 people and injured hundreds. \u003cbr/\u003eStephen Jones believes there is no chance that McVeigh acted alone.\u003cbr/\u003eIn the five years that he led McVeigh's defence team, Jones said he got to know McVeigh pretty well, and described their relationship as \"cordial.\"\u003cbr/\u003eHe claims, based on conversations he had with McVeigh and on polygraph tests, the April 19, 1995 bombing was part of a conspiracy and that McVeigh is lying when he claims sole responsibility. \u003cbr/\u003eAnd he says McVeigh's death will prevent authorities from learning the names of his co-conspirators.\u003cbr/\u003eTerry Nichols was convicted on federal conspiracy and manslaughter charges and sentenced to life in prison. \u003cbr/\u003eMichael Fortier is serving a 12-year federal sentence after pleading guilty to having prior knowledge of the bombing plan but not alerting authorities.\u003cbr/\u003eAnd Terry Nichols' brother, James Nichols, was arrested but never charged, although Jones believes he was involved.\u003cbr/\u003eJones believes others were also involved, but he claims McVeigh has remained silent to protect them.\u003cbr/\u003eFor his part, McVeigh has contended that Jones is obsessed with the media and eager to promote the conspiracy theory because it will help him sell a book he
