The resulting standoff ended in a fire, which  killed 80 cult members.\u003cbr/\u003eFor the second day, the Republican-led probe questioned intelligence and planning by  the government agencies that orchestrated the Waco raid. \u003cbr/\u003eA federal official who ordered the armed raid on a religious compound near Waco,  Texas, said Thursday he did not know that sect leader David Koresh had been tipped off  that law enforcement agents were coming.\u003cbr/\u003eThe testimony bolstered the contention by Republicans that officials botched the raid  which left 80 cult members and four Federal agents dead.\u003cbr/\u003eSeveral experts testified that the initial 1993 raid on the Waco compound was partially  based on the false claim that a drug lab was operating inside the compound.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Do you have any idea where the military got the idea, as they have testified in an  uncontroverted fashion, that they thought this was a raid to take down a  methamphetamine lab?
