He says even the smallest of the falls are impressive while others are overwhelming.\u003cbr/\u003eIguazu is best appreciated by visiting both sides of the border, while the Brazilian option offers the best panoramic viewing, the Argentine side allows closer access.\u003cbr/\u003eThe visual grandeur of Iguazu is punctuated by Garganta Del Diablo, the devils throat, where fourteen falls drop 350 proposed seven natural wonders of the world.\u003cbr/\u003eThe campaign follows last year's announcement of the seven new wonders of the world and the selection is a global drive to raise awareness of the world's environmental phenomenons. \u003cbr/\u003eYamila Chemes, Commercial Director from Iguazu Hotels says tourist growth is propelling its candidacy.\u003cbr/\u003eAdding to the majesty of Iguazu is the lush tropical jungle location of the falls.\u003cbr/\u003eThe dynamic cycle of water has nurtured this ecosystem.\u003cbr/\u003eBesides the constant rainbows it throws on the virgin jungle it results in all kinds of rare and diverse inhabitants.\u003cbr/\u003eFrom the fearless swifts who nest behind the falls protected by the curtain of water, to the ever social coati's (cousin of the raccoon) to the rarely seen mazama (deer species that live in tropical forests), it's a zoological kaleidoscope.\u003cbr/\u003eThe jungle is protected by Argentina and Brazil, who both promote controlled contact with all Iguazu has to offer, while keeping mother nature firmly at the fore. \u003cbr/\u003ePark Ranger, Angel Caradonna, explains the infrastructure developed in the park has an important role in the delicate marriage between environment and tourism.\u003cbr/\u003eWhile the rustic experience of the ecological train through the forest is all part of the setting, the surrounding jungle offers alternative methods of travel.\u003cbr/\u003eAlready one of South America's most famed attractions, tourism revenue is a mainstay for the local economies. \u003cbr/\u003eThe inspiring visual show offered by the natural environment is the perfect backdrop and it's increasingly becoming home to all kinds of eco and adventure tourism.\u003cbr/\u003eAll paths lead to the cascades, and the rivers and streams along the way provide many suitably extravagant options. \u003cbr/\u003eFor a more extreme view, boat trips can be made under the waterfalls and white water rafting that skirts the edge of the plummeting water can provide the adrenalin rush for the adventure seeker.\u003cbr/\u003eThere are plenty of hiking options along a variety of trails and from the viewing platforms you get so close to the spray of the falls it's a refreshing attack on your senses. \u003cbr/\u003eIt's now hoped its candidacy as one of the seven natural wonders of the world will
