Close up Saari \u003cbr/\u003eA Baghdad hospital, which treated people with respiratory illnesses and AIDS patients, was so badly looted that it was forced to move its patients two hundred metres way to an adjacent hospital.\u003cbr/\u003eTen TB (tuberculosis) patients are now being looked after at the Ibn al Khatib Hospital for infectious diseases. \u003cbr/\u003eThat brings the total number of patients to 40 and even though the hospital has a capacity of 150, it is struggling to cope.\u003cbr/\u003eAs well as nursing TB patients, it treats those with tetanus, rabies, whooping cough, haemorrhagic fever and cholera - many of the drugs needed to treat these conditions are not still available in Iraq. \u003cbr/\u003eThe al Khatib Hospital was also raided by looters who took equipment and medicine and it doesn't have a permanent supply of electricity. \u003cbr/\u003eOn top of that, staff numbers are also down because a bridge that connects this area was blown up during the war and they can no longer reach the hospital. \u003cbr/\u003eThere is also the ongoing threat of looting leaving the remaining staff apprehensive about other raids. \u003cbr/\u003eDoctors also fear that some of the stolen goods from Ibn Al Zohor were contaminated with the micro-organism that causes TB and the looters might now be spreading the disease.\u003cbr/\u003eThey are also worried about the AIDS patients from the Al Zohor hospital - only two out of 52 patients with AIDS have come to the al Khatib hospital for treatment after the
