everything,'' added Hajo Bibi through her tears.\u003cbr/\u003eThe United Nations has made an urgent appeal for more helicopters to ferry aid to around 800-thousand people left stranded by the devastating floods.\u003cbr/\u003eWorld Food Programme (WFP) spokesman Marcus Prior on Wednesday said the UN was liaising closely with Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to manage the combined resources.\u003cbr/\u003e\"We continue to need more helicopters, it's a simple as that,\" Prior told a news conference in Islamabad.\u003cbr/\u003eThe UN has said 40 more heavy-lift helicopters are urgently needed to reach the some 800-thousand people cut off by the floods and only accessible by air.\u003cbr/\u003ePaul Garwood, Communications Officer for the World Health Organisation (WHO) said that new measures were being taken to deliver much-needed medical and humanitarian relief to isolated communities \"by air, or even by water\".\u003cbr/\u003e\"It's a tragedy that so many people still are without the kind of access to health care and other kinds of humanitarian relief that they so desperately need today,\" Garwood said.\u003cbr/\u003eHe also warned of growing cases of malaria in both Sindh and Baluchistan provinces.\u003cbr/\u003eThe floods began almost a month ago with the onset of the monsoon and have ravaged a huge swath of the country, from the mountainous north through to its agricultural heartland. \u003cbr/\u003eMore than 8 (m) million people are in need of emergency assistance.\u003cbr/\u003eThe death toll in the floods has been around 1,500 people but the disaster ranks as one of Pakistan's worst ever because of the scale and massive economic damage, especially to the country's vital agricultural
