Jackson at the 29th Annual Gift of Life dinner, hosted by comedian George Lopez and his wife Ann Lopez. \u003cbr/\u003eSamuel L. Jackson was honoured on Saturday with the \"Gift of Life\" Humanitarian Award. \u003cbr/\u003eThe actor and his wife LaTanya Richardson were recognised for their dedication to the prevention and cure of paediatric kidney disease, a cause they've been at the forefront of since learning their niece needed a kidney transplant.\u003cbr/\u003e\"We believe in the Kidney Foundation,\" noted Samuel L. Jackson. \"We have member sour our family who need kidneys. We have members of our family who are trying to be donors and we hope that we can make a difference by showing that there are other people that care.
