The college teams abandoned the native American mascots. And you could take away our Chieftain logo, call us something else, but to everyone who graduated from Rogue River high school and all of those kids that are in school there now, they are and will always be Rogue River Chieftains and they're so proud of it. And in talking to a lot of the kids at  the high school, they don't understand why the adults are making such a big deal out of this.
