Video shoot - Maksim Mrvica playing\u003cbr/\u003eThe Athens Olympics have struck a chord in Romania, where filming begins later this week on a music video for the games' official song, 'Olympic Dream.'\u003cbr/\u003eFilming will began Thursday in Bucharest featuring Croat pianist Maksim Mrvica and Serbian singer Iva Cojic.\u003cbr/\u003eMrvica, 28, is a pianist who gained fame for his modern interpretation performances of classical music, with a large following in Europe and the Far East.\u003cbr/\u003eEMI recently launched three official Olympics albums in Athens: a pop album, a Greek traditional music album and a classical music album, 'Harmony,' which includes 'Olympic Dream.'\u003cbr/\u003eIt also includes performances by Sarah Brightman, Maria Callas, Placido Domingo and other singers.\u003cbr/\u003eMaksim Mrvica (pronounced 'Máravitsa' with a rolled 'r') was born in 1975 in Šibenik, a town on the Adriatic coast. He began piano lessons at nine (giving his first public performance at the same age) and performed Haydn's C major piano concerto with an orchestra just 3 years later. \u003cbr/\u003eWar broke out in 1990, but Maksim continued amid aritllery barrages. He went on to study in Paris and Budapest.\u003cbr/\u003eHis first album, 'Gestures,' his disc of contemporary Croatian piano pieces, was expected it to shift a handful of copies and languish on the shelves like so many other experimental CDs. In fact, it became one of the fastest-selling classical recordings ever to be released in Croatia.\u003cbr/\u003eIt wasn't long before the big record companies started calling and Maksim was soon signed by EMI Classics who recently released his first crossover album, 'The Piano Player.'\u003cbr/\u003eMaksim believes passionately in attracting young audiences to classical music, and communicating with them in new and exciting ways. He's not afraid to create atmosphere with video-screens, lighting and laser-shows. Articulate in his manner, he is also a snappy, though bold, dresser. \u003cbr/\u003eMost importantly he believes in the power of the music itself to reach people and now with his Olympics track the
